History

Since the 1930s, there has been a restaurant on the first floor of the property at Streitgasse 20 on Barfi in Basel. (For non-Baslers: «Barfi» is what locals call Barfüsserplatz). This property on Barfi is still known to many by the name: Centralhallen. 

The name CENTRO am Barfi is also derived from this designation. Under new management, the original restaurant has developed into a popular, typically Italian pizzeria-restaurant in Basel in recent years. With delicious pasta, meat and fish dishes, and, logically, a large selection of pizzas.
